About this project |

The decision to demolish a family home can be a difficult one, especially when it has been a part of the family for many years. However, sometimes it is necessary to take a new direction and create a space that better reflects the changing needs of the family. This was the case for the third-generation owner of a modern-style house on Soi Taksin 19.

After more than 30 years of use, the old house had become outdated and no longer met the needs of the family. The owner decided to demolish the old house and build a new one in its place. However, the owner also wanted to preserve the atmosphere of the area and incorporate old materials into the new design. In order to achieve this goal, the owner sought the assistance of an experienced design team.

At the design firm, we listened carefully to the owner's preferences and concerns. We understood the importance of balancing the old and the new, while creating a space that would meet the needs of the family for years to come. We worked closely with the owner to create a design that would seamlessly blend old and new materials, and achieve the desired balance between the past and the present.

Our design approach was to focus on the use of recycled materials, including those from the old house. By reusing these materials, we were able to incorporate the history and character of the old house into the new design. We also added new elements that would match our modern era and complement the existing materials.

The result was a stunning new house that perfectly balances old and new elements. The exterior of the house has a sleek, modern look that complements the surrounding area, while the interior is warm and inviting, with unique features that reflect the family's personality and style. The use of recycled materials added a sense of history and character to the new design, while the new elements brought the house up-to-date with the latest design trends.

In conclusion, the decision to demolish an old family home can be a difficult one, but sometimes it is necessary to create a space that meets the changing needs of the family. By working closely with an experienced design team, it is possible to create a new space that perfectly balances old and new elements, while preserving the history and character of the original location. The new house on Soi Taksin 19 is a testament to this approach, and we are proud to have been a part of its creation.
